WD’s Dennis Lombardi will be attending the NRA Marketing Exectutives Group meeting May 14-16 in Chicago. MEG is a nonprofit study group designed as an educational forum for foodservice executives. Its mission is to raise the level of excellence in restaurant marketing by providing leadership and training as well as encouraging the exchange of ideas among marketing professionals for the betterment of the industry and participating restaurant companies.

Consumer Picks

Nation’s Restaurant News and WD Partners’ fourth annual Consumer Picks survey reveals how diners really feel about restaurant brands.

The survey compiles the results for 10 attributes in four categories from over 44,000 consumer ratings. It also rates the importance of these attributes to consumers. Consumers evaluated 162 chain restaurants, with 10 additional chains rated in the 2014 report. This year a long-time category leader meets its match, so check out the report when it is released by NRN on March 27.

Smoothie King

It was time to refresh the Smoothie King brand. Updating the store environment, from the logo to the color palette, was an important way to support the changes being made to the menu. WD took the Smoothie King philosophy of “Fresh Forward” to heart when designing the new look.
